It's the spawning season for Sheepshead south Florida. The other day I kept six that I caught at the jetties. In this video I catch about five on and released the all. The baits I used to target them this time were live crabs, sandfleas and shrimp.
I actually didn't show fishing with the mud crabs I'd found because I didn't catch any thing on them. I went out earlier that day and caught six of them, had some bites at the jetties while fishing with them, but never landed anything.
For the next couple of months the fishing is going to be really good for these saltwater Sheepshead as the will be migrating to the inlets to spawn.
I fish an area that has been seriously effected by red tide during 2018 and the 2019. I've made a firm decision to not keep a lot of fish to eat. I think it's important to release most of the fish because there were so many that died during the outbreak of the red tide.
