I fished a new spot and caught a BIG Snook in the middle of the afternoon. I was making a video of how to chum and catch pinfish with a cast net and decided to go explore a location I'd never fished before. I've been considering fishing there for several months, but never took the time to try it out. Within ten minutes I landed a really nice sized Snook on a very small Pinfish.
I've always said that this species of fish likes:
1. Rocks
2. Docks
3. Bridges
4. And any type of structure
I really wasn't surprised when this fish hammered the Pinfish that I was using for bait. This new fishing spot is loaded with rocks which really caused my confidence level to be high.

I was rigged with a forty pound test leader, free lining a Pinfish with a one ought Owner Brand hook. The bait was hooked through the top lip. I cast the live bait out and very slowly retrieved, paused, retrieved paused, repeating that pattern. The Snook took the bait right next to the rocks.
